About the event
Something innate in us, some instinctual thread tying us to ancestral anxieties, unsettles us as winter wraps the world in cold and dark. Shortened days leave us craving the comforting touch of the sun and we huddle indoors eagerly awaiting the season’s turn. Yet, the natural world teaches us that, as Wendell Berry would put it, “... the dark, too, blooms and sings.”
Join the Center's Program Director Payton Hoegh, Founder Beth Norcross, and our thoughtful community for a seasonal program exploring the wild wisdom of winter: an invitation to uncover treasures in cold, dim nights and lightless, damp soil. To see in this shadowy season the seeds of renewal, veins of rich possibility nurtured in the depths of the dark.
Embracing Winter’s gifts, our December Wild Gathering will include:
Guided meditation
Instruction and insights from science and spirituality
Interactive engagement with biomimicry
