QUIET CURRENTS: A MINDFUL KAYAKING EXPERIENCE


ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE - Slow Down | Breathe Deeply | Nourish Your Spirit

Join this contemplative kayaking experience, quiet your mind and spirit while enjoying the beauty and gifts of the spring fed San Marcos River. Led by Heidi Holliday, director of the Center for Spirituality in Nature, in partnership with Paddle SMTX, this program will provide space to slow down, breathe deeply, and nourish your soul.


During a time of nature-attuned mindfulness and kayaking fun, participants will observe flora and fauna below the surface in clear-bottomed kayaks, and the incredible landscape above the water in one of Texas' most beautiful rivers - home to the endangered Texas wild rice, fountain darters, and the Texas blind salamander. At 72 degrees year round, the river's ecosystem is both sensitive and fascinating!
