Join us for the launch of an exciting new four-session, self-guided offering from the Center for Spirituality in Nature: And God Saw That It Was Good: A Spirituality Course Accompanying Ken Burns’s film The National Parks: America’s Best Idea. Over four sessions, this self-paced online program will offer written study guides supported by stunning video clips of the national parks from Ken Burns's popular film. Whether you are visiting the national parks this summer, or are loving them from afar, this program will enhance your understanding and enjoyment. The Leader’s Guide offers step-by-step guidance on leading an online or in-person 60 to 90-minute class or program. It includes: • Background material for each session • Suggested structure for each session • A list of supplies needed • Opening meditation • Introduction to each session (with a bonus introduction to the entire course) • Film clip (approximately 15 to 20 minutes) • Teaching suggestions • Discussion questions • Suggested activity • Closing prayer The format is designed to offer both academic and spiritual involvement with the material. Often, there will be too much material to cover in one week. Feel free to pick and choose the parts that seem most suited to your group, and take them in any order you wish.
