
Melissa Diemand, Board Secretary
Melissa joined the Potomac Conservancy in September 2010. She directs the Conservancy’s communications. Melissa helps to share the story of Potomac Conservancy and their clean water successes through their website, online channels, print publications, and reports. She previously managed foundation and government giving at the Conservancy as the Director of Grants.
Melissa came to the Conservancy with a background in political polling and project management, and has helped to elect individuals with progressive environmental values to state and federal offices. Melissa earned a BA in political science and a minor in international studies from the American University in Washington, DC. In her free time, she loves exploring the outdoors and finding new areas in the Potomac Basin to hike, bike, and paddle.
