Charlotte Moser, Board Member

Charlotte Moser leads the Green Sanctuary project at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation (RRUUC) in Bethesda, Md., where she is founder and guide for the Spirituality in Nature Group (SING) program and former co-chair of the Earth Ministry. A writer and environmental activist, she previously served as regional chair for the Commission on Ecosystem Management for IUCN, an international environmental non-profit.  Her early careers included working in development communications at the World Bank, fundraising for science museums, serving as writer/editor at daily and weekly newspapers, and college-level teaching.

Reverence for nature is at the heart of Charlotte’s spirituality, from her experience with Outward Bound to working with displaced fisherfolk on the Sekong River in Laos.  Her journey began as an artist and journalist; her passion now is climate justice. In these turbulent times, she finds peace photographing nature on long walks birdwatching on the Potomac River and the C&O Canal.
